The Society for the Preservation of Live American Aural Art Traditions

S.P.L.A.A.A.T is a quartet of veteran musicians who have been playing together since 1988. Individually they have extensive backgrounds in widely diverse musical fields including jazz, pop, symphony, theatre pit bands, big band jazz and swing, 5 star hotels (ballroom dancing) and backup bands for national touring groups. They can play quiet background music for intimate receptions or turn up the energy for dancing or jazz concerts.
Thanks to the longevity of their careers, their repertoire contains hundreds of songs including almost all styles of dance music from the 1930's on through the 1990's. This versatility is perfect for wedding receptions which usually involve several generations of guests. A recent client said: "The band was a great success! There were people on the dance floor all night. They really are a wonderful party band."
